Step1: Examining the Data

The first step in developing an XML vocabulary for any domain of interest is to identify the relevant categories. In this case the obvious place to look is TV Guide or the television listings in the daily newspaper.

A typical page of such a schedule may be:

July 3	7:00pm	7:30pm	8:00pm	8:30pm
